What our customers have to say, and we are listening to help make your float experience a great one
St. Albert Gazette article:
Float away the stress
A new business in St. Albert offers an unusual way to unwind and unplug. Float Remedy Ltd. provides float pods, where people can lay back in a salt-water bath and float their worries away.
Float therapy provides complete sensory deprivation. The salt-water bath is set at body temperature, making it difficult to know where your body starts and where the water ends. The result: a feeling of being suspended in the air, lightweight and free of burden.
As an option, patients can choose to turn off the lights and slip away into peaceful nothingness.
In addition to providing a way for people to de-stress from everyday troubles, the business uses the sensory depravation therapy as an avenue to help people suffering with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
The anxiety disorder occurs when an individual experiences sensory overload as a result of encountering a single or repeated traumatic event.
“This isolates people from all sensory input, from all sights and sounds,” says Scott Sellsted, co-owner of Float Remedy Ltd.
The business is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week and is located at 6D Perron Street St. For more information visit www.floatremedy.com

Had my first ever float today at Float Remedy and absolutely loved the experience. The staff is amazing and the layout and rooms are lovely. It is definitely something everyone should try!
Had an amazing float at Float Remedy. I would recommend anyone to go and try it. The staff are amazing and the facility is beautiful.
Just had my first float, will be back again. The location is warm and inviting as is the staff. Highly recommended it!
I just did a float and I will definitely go back again! It was very relaxing!! Great place!
Had my first float here 5 days ago, and it was wonderful! Being my first float, I wasn’t able to completely shut my mind off for the full 60 minutes, but I did manage to find complete relaxation! My mom joined me (her first float also), and upon entering Float Remedy we were warmly greeted by Megan, and given a tour of the spa. My mom was nervous, as she’s claustrophobic, but Megan was quick to calm her nerves and give her all the details and answers she needed, as well as options to make her more comfortable during the float.
I found the temperature of the float cabin to be perfect, and found it to be more spacious inside than anticipated.
I can honestly say that I have been more relaxed and calm this week, and I think it’s largely due to my Monday evening float!
Can’t wait to come back!
This experience was exactly what we needed. Scott (one of the owners) took perfect care of us and didn’t sell any boogy woogy stuff, just invited us in to relax and de-stress. It worked. Both my partner and I are in that “zone” we all wish we could be in throughout the day. Super clean facility, well designed, and a comfortable customer experience. Thank you Scott!
I had a float earlier this morning for the first time ever and I have to say it was a fantastic experience. I enjoyed every moment from walking in, talking with the friendly owners, learning about the benefits of float therapy, getting to float (which again, fantastic!) to coming out of the tank feeling energized, refreshed and ready for the Canada day weekend.
If you have never done this before I highly recommend you give it a try. It definitely went above and beyond what I expected it would be. Also if you have done float therapy before, you should come and try this place out. Very welcoming and it feels like home. The owners are such beautiful people. I really enjoyed my time there and talking with them today as well.
Check these guys out! They are awesome
